Jungle Camp Building- Day 3

Today we spent most of the day working on our stove. First we had to build a cradle to hold the stove. We started on that yesterday, but had to make a few modifications as we went along. Once the cradle was mostly built we had to put a layer of plastic down and then pack in 3-4 inches of dirt under and around the stove. Jeff did the digging to get the dirt and I did the packing. Once that was completed we had to build the cradle up around the sides and the back. Later in the day we were ready to start putting clay around the stove. The clay is what insulates the stove. All of these things were very time consuming. The boys came up to visit a few times throughout the day. They spent the first half with a staff family and the second half of the day with Jeff. I was left to continue putting clay on the stove. It was yet another long and tiring day!
